A hopeless mess of disjointed skits and confusing writing; and an execution style that borders on dadaism. This type of subversive satire was done much better by The Kentucky Fried Movie. This film will forever be tied to an era where the special effects budget of a film could be miniscule, but the cocaine budget could be astronomical. All in all, The Groove Tube comes off as a film school experiment where most of the shooting schedule was spent consuming illegal substances and fiddling around with the script and camera just to see what sticks.

This is a childhood favourite. It may seem dated today but this was quite risque for it's time.

Those not interested have NO CLUE. This is the one movie that makes me LOL every time I watch it, and I've seen it many many many times over the years. I wish I could bottle this film!!

Raunchy humor, but absolutely hilarious. Even better than Kentucky Fired Movie and Amazon Women on the Moon.
