Lots of fun and fascinating costumes and youkai (demons). Not just for youths, but adults can enjoy this interesting gem.

This is insane! It is the ultimate adult fairytale/fantasy movie! It is "The Never-ending Story" crossed with "Labyrinth","Nightbreed" & "Casshern" etc... If it didn't have Miike's magic it would be a dodgy kids flick but it rocks!!!

Not always the most thrilling, and certianly not the best CGI, but the imaginatitive and very well executed characters and character design. I've never seen the TV show this was inspired by, but I can imagine it was quite fun. Make-up is off the charts.

japanese fantasy based on japanese folklore. i'm sure it's very loosely based. whiny kid again in a 'you are the chosen' one type movie. i did watch the whole movie and did not find it utterly terrible. very cheesy. liked some of the transformed junk creatures.

Somewhat of a kids film, really well made and a lot of fun. Great story.
