The Grand Seduction (2014)

A small fishing village must procure a local doctor to secure a lucrative business contract. When unlikely candidate and big city doctor Paul Lewis lands in their lap for a trial residence, the townsfolk rally together to charm him into staying. Small town needs a dr to secure a plant for bringing back the jobs after fishing dries up, plenty of maritime humour as we breathe a collective sigh

A fun, if somewhat improbable yarn that's endearing and full of gentle humor, in many ways reminiscent of films like "Local Hero" and the TV series "Northern Exposure" (with a Canadian twist). As long as you're willing to suspend belief on a few key plot points, this is an enjoyable fable full of charm, magic and beautiful scenery.
