With the exception of all the dialogue on Italian. At least give me subtitles. The decision not to give the viewer the meaning to the conversation baffles me

En El padrino , el hijo héroe de guerra de Don Corleone, Michael (Al Pacino) se convierte en un hombre que ordena la muerte como el servicio de habitaciones. En esta secuela, Michael es un símbolo de una América nacida de idealismo inmigrante y muriendo de corrupción. El único soporte moral es la familia. Impresionante en su alcance, Parte IITambién muestra la vida temprana del Don, retratada brillantemente por Robert De Niro, mientras huye de Sicilia y navega hacia Nueva York. Estas secuencias tienen la grandeza de una película muda de DW Griffith o Erich von Stroheim; las últimas secuencias, con Michael en Cuba, son torpes y confusas, aunque el clímax es tan escalofriante como la expresión de Michael cuando se da cuenta de que incluso los miembros de la familia pueden borrarse. Pacino da una actuación monumental, y fue un crimen igualmente monumental que nunca ganó un Oscar por ello.

Less lavish display of mafia mechanics, more epoch-centred, event cinema, The Godfather Part II is a different beast entirely to its predecessor. Coppola builds blissfully upon the thematic foundations of the first film, giving us the characters we know and love growing and changing in gorgeous, glamorous gangster-vision; almost a foreshadow to the likes of Scorsese and the modern giants of the genre. Robert De Niro's portrayal of a young Vito Corleone is frighteningly fantastic and the film as a whole is by far the meatiest layer to Coppola's Godfather sandwich. But, the question is, does that make it the best? Either way, this is must-see cinema.

incredible,touching, mind blowing acting, the godfather part 2 is without question a all time classic, just like his predecessor.
