Seem to be in a French Film mode. This movie was just okay. Girl decides to move from Paris to the country & milk goats. It wasnt entirely bad but particularly interesting either. I kept waiting for some plot twist - some tanglible conclusion. Was left with nothing but a herd of goats.

The best reason to see this is the uncredited star: Le Vercors (where I live). Lots of errors (why does she not have a car living so remotely, where is the fromagerie, there's not usually THAT much snow up here...), but the picture of life on a remote farm rings largely true. The real highlight is the opening shot in the Grand Goulets. That road is closed now, so this is the best way to see it.

A lovely, well-acted, generally predictable but nonetheless thoroughly enjoyable film. The lead actors all turn in great and understated performances. A wonderful story about building bridges across gender and generational divides. It should be noted that there are two quite graphic scenes of animals being slaughtered that some might find unsettling.
