Altman surprisingly chose a John Grisham novel to adapt for the big screen...mixed results...not a terrible movie, but certainly not a masterpiece.

Solid directing and an excellent cast make for a thrilling initial 90 minutes, and even when the good actors start doing stupid things, at least you can enjoy the good acting.

I thought this was a pretty solid legal drama/thriller. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but it was good.
