Minor lampoon comedy of small town America during the 1950s.

Rarely (if ever) funny film about a feud between two families from nearby towns fuelled by a series of misunderstandings and false conclusions. Complicating matters is the budding romance between the kids of the two families (one a 13-year old girl who could easily pass for twice that age). I never figured out why one man was acting like an ape during the film. The kind of movie that I suspect would garner awards at an independent film festival for its offbeat story.

A simple mistake that takes a life of its own sends rivalling families in neighbouring towns escalating into a full-blown feud. A bit of an offbeat and dark-toned comedy which had some potential but not quite enough to make a full go of it. Will appeal to some.
