This was great. It's about a guy (Jason Ritter) who tries to be a part of society, but he just can't. He's lived in the violent part of town too long. He gets in fights. He's got all kinds of problems. It was good to see him try to get over them an co-exist. Lots of drama. Good stuff.

The film's potential cynicism is suffocated with a TV movie flatness, occasionally--and egregiously--spackled with sentimental music that makes it sag when it should slice.

jesse eisenberg is just such a weird and awkward actor. he is decent in this movie. they story is good with a kind of love/hate relationship between charlie and the bully mick. a good watch.

Very slow movie with no climax until the end of the movie, like the last 15 minutes.

Hidden gem at blockbuster but too slow for my opinion. Good acting overall but Charlie frustrated me as a character.
