Great movie. Maybe the best Sandler's performance.

First off, I liked it. I didn't expect to like it after Ridiculous 6 and Joe Dirt 2, but it was very funny. That's all I'm looking for in a Sandler film is some silly, sometimes raunchy and politically incorrect humor. I'm reading reviews like "the plot is loose; it's sexist; it's cringeworthy" wah wah wah! It's an ADAM SANDLER comedy! You know, the guy who brought you Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, Billy Madison, etc etc. What the hell did you expect lol. I gave it 4 stars because it was definitely funny and made me laugh. Again, that's all I want out of a comedy movie. I'm not looking for plot continuity and great cinematography or Oscar winning acting. I'm looking for strictly funny. This movie delivered. Oh, but don't let your kids watch it if they're under 16. There's some pretty raunchy scenes around the middle of the movie while they're in Puerto Rico complete with a rear view of Luiz Guzman's balls (not really his balls probably, but made to look like it) hanging over David Spade's face.

I think that movies are to entertain, and that is what this movie does. I'm not looking for an Oscar worthy movie from Adam's movies, just a few chuckles and to kill a few hours, and I like Spade. Get a life critics..

It's not perfect, but it's pretty close. By far the best Adam Sandler/David Spade movie--although I admit most were horrible, and I thought this would be, too. The jokes aren't always predictable, the plot keeps moving and has surprises...I wish Grown Ups was as good as this.

Trashing Adam Sandler movies is really in style th se days (with good reason.) dispite that knowledge, I sat down to view this movie - glad I did. Maybe you it's the Sandler-Spade combo. Perhaps it was the premise or the dialog. Whatever the reason, I found myself laughing out loud at this goofy movie. It is certainly crude, assuredly stupid, but I'm pretty sure that was exactly what they were going for. If you go into this movie expecting cinematic reinvention or ground breaking of any kind, you're...well...an idiot. If you wanted to see something a bit closer to Sandler's heyday and laugh guiltily for awhile, the you can't be disappointed in this movie. Maybe it's time everyone stops expecting Adam Sandler movies to be Spielberg meets Woody Allen and just deal with their intended purpose; goofy entertainment.
