While serving with the African Union, former Marine Capt. Brian Steidle documents the brutal ethnic cleansing occuring in Darfur. Determined that the Western public should know about the atrocities he is witnessing, Steidle contacts New York Times reporter Nicholas Kristof, who publishes some of Steidle's photographic evidence.

Excellent. Heartbreaking....a battle cry for all humans that care about the suffering of innocent people. We must do something to stop this genocide. Anyone who sees this documentary will no longer be able to say "I didn't know". Their blood is on our hands if we do not stop the bloodshed. Never again has to mean something.

A movie that should be seen by those who claim to care about the situation in Darfur or human rights in general. The images in this movie will stay with you forever and I sincerely hope that this movie lights a fire in people to actually commit to doing something about the situation. It has been a problem for far too long now. Bravo to Brian Steidle for his courage and bravery. I have to wonder, why are we in Iraq when Darfur is so clearly a more important and more tragic situation??!!

An extremely powerful documentary that exposes the evilness that lurks within the hearts of men. See it to educate yourself about a place in the world that has problems fiercer than your worst nightmare and think about what you can do to become a better global citizen.

this is an intense film. It is a documentary, so it takes the room to explore different ways of showing the story. Worth a look. Out on DVD on Nov 6.
