You can smell the 80's cheese, you can also smell the fact that Mr. Leonard who wrote AND directed this tried to make a consistently weird and creepy horror film. A childhood fav...

Except for the (for an 80's movie!) good lookin' heroine, this one is quite boring. Suspense is rare, gore as well, and if you're looking for some really weird insane-asylum-gone-crazy-flick, better check out "Don't look in the basement", that one's got some 70's low budget charme at least.

This was a highly enjoyable horror movie from the late 80's. I had always wanted to see this movie and could always remember the cover of the VHS tape with the zombie coming out of the pit. It had some pretty good gore and a pretty good story. The acting was a little weak but that didn't affect the movie one bit. Cheryl Lawson was fairly attractive and had to be since she was in her underwear most of the movie. Also had the mandatory nudity.

Surprisingly watchable zombie flick from the late 80's. The plotting stumbles here or there, but the visual flair and camerawork makes up for it and keeps things interesting. Recommended for the horror fan.
