I've read the book and loved it. So the movie was quite a dissapointment, even though I tried to see it in perspectiv of when it was made... And those stupid, weak, screaming women! I almost wished some of them would get eaten!

The plants are marchin'! Hero Keel then overwaters them.

First saw this at High School in about 1997, quite a cool movie.

As an adaptation of an AMAZING book, it's absolutely wretched and manages to abolish almost everything that made it's source material what it was. However, as a b-movie with horrendous special effects and an awful script, it's pretty fun. You see my predicament here? Read the book if you love brilliant well-woven tales of human morality that are engrossing and have great characters as well as make you think; watch the movie if you want the watered down hollywood happy ending version which is only enjoyable in an Ed Wood sorta way.
