I love both the horror films of Britain's Hammer Studios and the pairings of Sir Peter Cushing and Sir Christopher Lee so very much. Though this is one of their latter and lesser-known, it doesn't disappoint. Very much worth purchasing and rewatches for the horror connoisseurs amongst you...

Preposterous on every level, the movie treats its material with such a straight face that it's hard not to love it a little. Longer than it needs to be (there's some padding in there), but the ending sticks the landing.

A minor classic of British gothic, with an original monster, insanity running rampant, and an effective twist ending. Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee in one of their later pairings.

Classic Lee and Cushing horror with great atmosphere, mad scientists, and one creepy monster. Very cool movie.
