Elizabeth Chase is busy remodeling her new home with her lawyer husband, Paul and daughter, McKenzie. To make sure it's finished before a charity event they're hosting, the couple hire a contractor, Javier, to help. However Elizabeth starts to grow suspicious of Javier and learns that he'd targeted the family all along. Now, to save her family, Elizabeth will have to take matters into her own hands.

It was the end of the week and I had a free rental promo from Redbox but I had seen most of the new stuff so I ended renting The Contractor. It looked cheesy but figured it was free and to my surprise it was a pretty good movie full of suspense. The ending seemed a little anti-climatic but overall it had me entertained.

The acting, and the way the plot plays out are interesting enough so that you don't get bored with the story line. Just a mediocre movie. Nothing great, but nothing awful, your typical revenge type movie.

Ya, this wasn't that great, but I love Danny Trejo and he always makes a creepy bad guy, except this time he was in the right. The worst part about this film is that he failed to get his justice, and our pathetic failure of a judicial system won again. It was also nice to Brad Rowe again, too bad he had to play a waste of flesh.
