This was a great film. You laugh, get a little misty eyed and all the while seeing the importance of family, friends and being true to yourself. The soundtrack is cute and the movie bright and colorful. Not at all what I expected. Give this one a chance you'll be happily surprised.

Made in a series of short movies by different directors imagining the millenium...all of what I like about Hal Hartley is in this movie.

This short had some interesting dialogue and I really enjoyed the Book of Life being a Mac. The biggest problem was the jumpy, blurry filming technique , which was WAY over-done.

Hal Hartley's sardonic take on Christianity. It's Jesus and Satan on New Year's Eve 1999. Thomas Jay Ryan may be the best Satan in any movie I've ever seen.
