Underwhelming. Literally nothing really happens in this movie. Spoilers ahead. A now older man has memories of the two friends he had who died in an accident he caused. Always fond of their teenage daughter, when she re enters his life as a young married and pregnant woman, he tries to assist them financially while his own drug dependence slowly become a worsening problem. That's it. Nothing drastic happens. No one is not what they seem. Dakota is barely in it. The wife had has her baby and the old man gets help. There no need to watch this now.

Fanning (criminally underused) and James have so little meat to their roles, they end up as ciphers while Gere has a ball as a drug-addicted tycoon on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

What begins as an intriguing psychological thriller devolves into an addiction drama, growing less interesting as it proceeds and giving costars Dakota Fanning and Theo James little to do.

I was interested to see this film. I always think of Richard Gere from Pretty Woman. I think he did a very good job in The Benefactor. Most indies are unwatchable. This indie has a big feature film feel. It explores addiction and guilt and redemption. I really enjoyed the movie and the other critics are a little over bearing on this film. I think they need to make something better themselves. I would definitely recommend seeing this movie!

Starts off as an intrusive triangle relationship story, but becomes more of a addiction storyline for the main character. It's a little disjointed, but just about works.
