This is a weak reteaming, unfortunately, and it's the screenplay by Betty Comden and Adolph Green which does that.

Not Fred and Ginger's best I have to admit, maybe it missed the RKO magic but it is still anaamazing film to watch. Having still not seen 'Shall We Dance' I haven't witnessed the original 'They Can't Take That Away From Me' but the song is a favourite of mine so I was pretty excited when I finally got to see Fred sing it. The dance number during that song was also one of the most beautiful moments in the scene, amazingly acted by Rogers as well. I also felt that song just fit perfectly in with the theme and emotion of that part of the film. Overall it lacked a certain spark and magic of the earlier Astaire and Rogers films but still highly recommended.

Astaire and Rogers last teaming, and full of wit, music, dance, and comedy.

...of interest as a possible peek into Rogers and Astaire's actual working relationship.

Not the best of the Fred and Ginger flicks, but definitely served to bring some closure to their collaborative career. Also contains one of my favorite lines from any film: "Excuse me for being so stupid but... why am I a pancake?" The duo seemed to be more relaxed and playful in this film. I respond to that.
