The story was extremely predictable but this is a great family movie with some very sincere and touching moments

Cheery and diverting as The Bad Guys is, it has all the emotional weight of a few crisp, stolen Benjamins.

If the movie features one (or two) too many explosive chase sequences, I did like one of the ways it envisions its moral thesis (which is that we all have a good side): whenever Wolf inadvertently does something nice, his tail embarrassingly, uncontrollably wags, like a divining rod for redemption.

I can totally see why "The Bad Guys" did better than "Morbius" and "The Secrets of Dumbledore." It's just more fun to watch than those movies: This heist comedy delivers a fun insight on “people” and their social branding as automatic bad guys and how they can turn it around with tons of laughs along the way. While somewhat linear in it’s narrative, the film gets the point across in a way that both kids and adults can enjoy I feel like the main hook of this movie is the stylized animation: A unique hybrid of 3-D and 2-D animation complimented with quick and snappy movements made this movie a treat to behold! For real, I haven't seen an animated film this stylized since "Into the Spider-Verse.
