Teenager Susan Turner, with a severe crush on playboy artist Richard Nugent, sneaks into his apartment to model for him and is found there by her sister Judge Margaret Turner. Threatened with jail, Nugent agrees to date Susan until the crush abates.

Surprisingly, this Cary Grant-Shirley Temple farce won the original screenplay Oscar in a year in which the other nominees included Body and Soul, A Double Life, Monsieur Verdoux and Shoeshine.

This is a charming though ultimately harmless comedy starring Cary Grant, but what is really note worthy is one of his co-stars: 19 year old Shirley Temple. Gone is the precocious kid singing songs about candy-named boats and let me introduce you to a fun young adult with great comedic timing and plenty of charisma. She's great and should have done more work as an adult. If you like classics, check this out!

The screwball comedy was always Cary Grant's finest achievement in the eyes of many a film enthusiast. However, this film combines elements of comedy with romance and strong tension between Loy and Grant's characters. It is a wonderful little B movie.
