This film has vivid, obtuse visuals, interesting use of effects, and a great final battle between the sentient alien overlord and the submarine crew. Though a lot of this film drags, it more than makes up for it with great visuals and ideas.

Fun little late 50s sci-fi B-Movie that asks one fundamental question: couldn't flying saucers travel predominately under water? Huh? have you ever thought of that? That they disappear so quickly because they dive into the ocean? The Atomic Submarine is ultimately laughable especially in its naive, propagandistic position on militarism and atomic weaponry. Still, though, a really fun film for fans of cheesy sci-fi cinema.

Cheesy, and a bit slow, 50's sci-fi film. Worth a look just for the images of the alien mastermind.

A fun, if completely forgettable 50's sci-fi movie. The writing is a little above average though, that was fun to see.
