The Acid House (1998)

A surreal triptych adapted by "Trainspotting" author Irvine Welsh from his acclaimed collection of short stories. Combining a vicious sense of humor with hard-talking drama, the film reaches into the hearts and minds of the chemical generation, casting a dark and unholy light into the hidden corners of the human psyche.

Well written twisted stories of urban excess, represented in subcultural Scotland. The actual production has similarities with the same writers 'Trainspotting' film, but does stand out in its own right.

Junkie steals shopworkers wife while cluber gets hit by lightning and turns into a baby after fat Boab meets God in the Pub and is turned into a fly, yes... this Irvine Welsh at his very best!

This flick from Scotland is one seriously warped adventure. Not for the faint of heart, it is filled with foul language, excessive drug use, sex and a wicked soundtrack. Everything I want in a movie!

Arguably one of the better 3.48 am movies I know. Crazy stories or real down junkie Britain life. 3 separate stories not in nay wayconnected to each other. Character stereotypes are excellent - every city, country arguably has similar. I am happy that I know this movie. I definitely recommend it (of MA audience).
