A brave performance from Kalki Koechlin is certainly the highlight, but not the only reason to seek out this film.

This one is from a critically acclaimed director and had elements I liked...just didn't love it overall as much as I hoped to. Check it out for yourself though.

For the 1st Time the man i relied on the most disappointed me....!!! yea its sad....everything was working great for this movie.....and then this climax...and everything fell flat....!!!! i was expecting a bomb...an explosion of performances in that very particular scene where the identity of Kalki's father is revealed and he just finds a safe lane after hearing words like"perevrt".....!!!! :O Cmon the whole movie was moulded in a "serious cinema (no bull-shit) stuff and finally....what emotions are u showing or wait...r u really showing emotions..or not...!!! Sorry ....... plz Anurag,u r the only man in Indian cinema i admire...plz don't disappoint me next time...!!!

A certain disturbance echoes through the movie which continues far beyond the movies ending and its one that leaves you lost in thought long after you've seen it.The ending is open and I find it striking similar to Micheal Clayton as it leaves me pondering and somewhere striking a strange but similar chord.

Raw,brave & unabashed. That's what we have loved about Kashyap and hv made him stand apart from other Hindi film makers. "That girl in yellow boots" is closer to Kashyap's initial works like Dev D & Black Friday which brimmed with such qualities.Unlike "Shaitaan" which tried a little too hard to shock the audience this one unfolds effortlessly through a deft camera work that beautifully penetrates dirtiest darkest corners of Mumbai. And the film is ruthless rather than shocking while it traverses those corners. Not for everyone as it's brutal at times in it's honesty but for fans of Kashyap it should be a treat.
