A provocative documentary about a man who dropped out to follow a dream that gradually evolved into something not unlike a nightmare.

Fascinating stuff but too many questions remain unanswered, like namely what exactly was the fallout of their lifestyle for their children. Didn't dig deep enough but the stuff it did dig up was more interesting than what they dig up in most movies.

A fascinating documentary with an unsettling undertone. Although the beginning of the film presents the Paskowitz clan as some sort of bohemian fantasy--no money, no school, no social conventions--it becomes more apparent that Doc created his own cult, with rigid rules and himself as the alpha male. Lots of boundry issues, no doubt, with 11 people in a tiny camper, and only 2 females.
