The title should say The Mechanical Monsters. Another full color Superman adventure from the Fleischer brothers. A criminal mastermind uses robots to steal jewels. This one stands out in my memory for the way Superman actually takes a beating from the army of robots. He is not impervious, but must gather his strength and use his brain to overcome the odds.

Though it does not surpass the first short, The Mechanical Monsters has the same excellentness and top-quality from the Fleischer's.

Absolutely the best of the Fleischer animated Superman shorts from the 1940s. A mad man has developed big robots to steal jewelry and money and things...it looks like a job for Superman to take on the fantastic looking robots. These Superman cartoons, particularly the ones made under the Fleischer banner, had a tremendous style and quality animation, as well as some classic charm to the whole affair.
