El dios Billy Wilder se mete en las barracas de prisioneros de la guerra. Y nos hace reir, y nos hace pensar. Precursora de MASH. Â¡A callaaaaaaaaar...!!!! Amo esta pelicula. Genial!

the second best pow movie ever, only second to the great escape. both are extremely well made war comedys. and in stalag 17 the tension is so thich you could slice it like butter. this was just a real good experience.

A true classic. While the slapstick is laid on pretty thick at times, the ensuing drama and tension plays out extremely well, culminating with a truly satisfying ending. William Holden plays his role superbly and the Oscar he was awarded for his performance was truly earned. One of the better and more unique war flicks worth seeing.
