He exposes the roots and history of Rap and then, through meeting many of its most famous protagonists, studies the living mechanism of the music to reveal 'The Art Of Rap'. This extraordinary film features unique performances from the entire cast, without resorting to archive material, to build a fresh and surprising take on the phenomenon that is Rap.

This doc was pretty damn good. The interviews were good, the soundtrack was good, the freestyles were on point and Ice-T did a pretty good job presenting MCing and Rapping as an art form. A must see for those of you that dig Hip Hop or docs about music. I'm ready to see this again.

A fascinating documentary about the style and, yes, the art form of rap music, as spoken by some of the best. And hey, if you don't come for that, there are some AWESOME freestyles spliced in there by over a dozen MCs.
