Slippery Slope (2006)

A cash strapped feminist filmmaker secretly takes a job directing a porn film in order to get her thesis film, "Feminism For Dummies" out of the lab. Soon, her own slumbering sexuality is awakened in surprising ways. This arouses the suspicion of her politically correct husband, Hugh, and leads to a madcap finale of mistaken identity that threatens to upend Gillian's best laid plans.

I definitely believe that the movie's theme had the potential to be hilarious, but they didn't exploit it correctly.

Once the elements slip into stillborn joke mode, the results just don't inspire like a great porn comedy should.

It's def a cheap, low-budget film. It certainly has its funny lines. I'm watching it b/c of the FABULOUS and gorgeous Jessica Leccia but let's just say that I've seen more of her than I EVER wanted to see. Still love u on GL, Jess!!! LOL!! It's a bit campy, the plot is thin, acting is below average but it's eh! Not bad, not great. I've seen worse!

Tell me if you've heard this one before? Strapped for cash? Lets get involved in making a porno! Zack and Miri did it so much better and with more laughs. With Slippery Slope the joke is that a feminist desperate to get money to buy her film so she can show it at Cannes, overlooks her ideology and directs a porno to get the money she needs. Tonally the movie is all over the shop. It doesnt know if it wants to be a feminist rant or a comedy and it ends up sitting in a slightly squidgy mess of both. The acting is variable and some of the earlier scenes play very amateurishly. In fact some of the 'all men are shit' stuff that flows through the first segment - only to be completely forgotten later on - leaves a nasty taste in the mouth by being so sweeping.
