Skin Trade, a project Lundgren co-wrote and has been trying to film for years, feels so dated and over-familiar that “half-decent” always seems just out of reach.

There's nothing special here, and that's kind of something special. The film treats touchy subject matter with just enough respect to get by without totally glorifying a serious crime. The movie works because the martial arts is the staring role. The cast is also great, and each member is used to their strengths. Recommended to fans of martial arts and martial arts movies.

Eh, it was your average direct to video action film. The fight between Michael Jai White and Tony Jaa was great but that was about it.

Stephen Danay 07 May 2015

Director Ekachai Uekrongtham strands Lundgren and Jaa in a series of poorly edited, confusingly shot gunfights that make little use of either man's talents.

Chris Sawin 22 Apr 2015

Skin Trade is worth seeing for Tony Jaa's triumphant return to the type of film that made him a household name, but this is otherwise a lackluster revenge thriller intertwined with a run of the mill human trafficking counterplot.
