A heart attack moves a Pulitzer winning journalist to leave NY for the peace of a small New England town, but he soon finds himself pulled into a case of a man accused of killing his gay lover with the blade of a shovel. Wanting to keep the case quiet, the town turns against the journalist and his family when he begins digging into its secrets, until finally the accused man is found hanging in his cell and the truth comes out about more than just the killing.

Inception on a shoestring budget as scripted by the ghost of Roy Clarke from Last of the Summer Wine. Classic.

a low budget british effort, which did have a interesting concept at its centre, but it dident hold together for me, and took its time getting into it also

A remarkably low-key surreal comedy about love, loss & appreciating just what you have. Some genuinely funny scenes are piqued through many heartfelt & melancholic ones in this particularly unique gem from Nick Whitfield.

Wow! What a little gem! This landmark British film is a star and beats Eternal Sunshine and Inception at their own game. It may not be a big budget thrill ride, but thank heavens for that: Beautiful, exquisitely done and utterly enchanting. One of the best films I've seen in a very long time. Don't read the film's notes; it's sounds corny - but it's a winner.
