Singularity is like a movie where some gym teacher is creating a high school play that’s kind of a mix between the movie Transcendence and a YA novel. The robot special effects are good for this turd of a movie which is the only reason I gave it a 2. The acting and plot are terrible.

Oh, if only MST3k were still on! Joel and the Bots would have a field day with this turkey! Wooden acting, cheesy CGI, and by the end you are rooting for the Robots to destroy the remaining humans! Oh, the Humanity!

Story could have been much better but things like the male robot having a perfect haircut and tinted hair kind of were dead giveaways that it was not a post apocalyptic world. Also working through a field of planted wheat didn't make sense as that would no longer exist. All in all, a good concept but a lot of technical mistakes that result in this being a bad movie.

Although the premise of this film (streaming on Netflix) is interesting - an Artificial Intelligence decides humanity is the problem - its screenplay and execution (both of which can be blamed on writer-director Robert Kouba) are fatally flawed. This film is not a good use of your time, except insofar as you want to see what John Cusack looks like now. As assembled, the film suffers from several continuity problems - is a cemetery scene before or after? Further incongruities are illustrated with plot spoilers: The female protagonist uses a GPS device to find a fabled city, without apparently giving away her position to the automation with which such a device would necessarily interact. The protagonists spend most of the film aimlessly wandering around in the forest, presumably of North America, as they speak American English - but then stumble upon the ruins of a medieval castle city, an unlikely find on our continent. A kiss from the female protagonist turns an android to the human side.
