Shogun Assassin (1980)

A Shogun who grew paranoid as he became senile sent his ninjas to kill his samurai. They failed but did kill the samurai's wife. The samurai swore to avenge the death of his wife and roams the countryside with his toddler son in search of vengeance.

Based on the life of Lone Wolf and Cub, Itto Ogami and his son Daigoro. This is one episode in a series of films, although this is the only one I've ever seen.

I love this film, over the top violence and gore, and hillarious naration from the protaganists child. I can not detail the ridiculousness on facebook, go see it for yourself if you want to see something completely crazy.
