A new contender for the title of "Greatest Concert Movie Ever"... If Stop Making Sense had been filmed in IMAX then maybe it would still be the front-runner.

Do I really need to explain this? This is one of the best concert movies I have ever seen. Martin Scorese is an incredible director and captures the essense of the Stones wonderfully, showing each individual member at his absolute finest. The Stones play an amazing gig here; even in their sixties, they move with more energy than most new bands and make every guitar solo and hip thrust seem effortless. There are little touches here that really make this movie special, such as when Keith botches the lyrics on "Far Away Eyes" and laughs it off. And the music...well, it mixes the standards ("Jumpin' Jack Flash", "Sympathy for the Devil", "Satisfaction") with some great covers ("Champagne and Reefer" with Buddy Guy as a guest performer) and some lost classics ("As Tears Go By", one of the first songs Mick and Keith wrote together). If you see this movie, you are going to have a blast.

Best $8 I've spent to see a movie! Not only does it do a fantastic job of showcasing the Rolling Stones as a high energy rock band, but it displays Scorsese's genius talent for directing. Every camera angle puts you right there with the band. It's amazing, and the music......enough said. Even Keith Richards sings a couple songs, which just blows some of the big hits away. See it ASAP!
