i don't get the low ratings. watching all these famously comedic actors working together in a suspense piece [even though they provided plenty of schtick] was fun, and the ending was completely unexpected. i also enjoyed the reverse storytelling instead of doing flashbacks to provide the reveal at the end of the film. really good flick.

By the time you make it to the end of Shimmer Lake and have unraveled the mystery, the film has finally hit its stride, so much that you'll want to start it up again to watch with the foreknowledge of what everybody's up to.

Such a unique film!! Told backwards, which begs you to watch it again, so that you can see all the nuances that you missed the first time around!

I enjoyed this film, the cast was well assembled and the reserve chronological order format really worked well. While I did enjoy the cast there overly comedic vibes clashed a little with the serious tone and mood of the overall movie. This movie is definitely worth a watch.
