Sean Penn the wife beater, not a good movie in my books

I love Madonna, and Sean Penn is one of my favorite actors, but this film was just horrible...I was so bored all the way through, and literally almost fell asleep

Terrible film! The only highlight for me has GOT to be George Harrison in the club! (Oh aye, and the George Harrison songs featured in it. But you can get these on an album...)

Set in 1937 in Shanghai, a beautiful missionary hires a man in need to raise money to head back to the States to track down a shipment of opium. Not only does the casting of Madonna as a missionary feel like a joke, but the movie in itself, with its random plot developments, is hard to take seriously.
