All personal opinions cast aside about wether inmate should even be allowed these activities, I will say this is the most enlighting documentary I have seen. Its very interesting to see these inmates translate The Tempest into their own person lives and search for redemption. For a little amount of time, they are able to change preconceptions of the prison system and possibly change it into a place of rehabilation.

By presenting murderers as actors and then filming those actors discussing their sins, the line between performance and soul-searching blurs in unnerving ways.

Terrific! This film portrays some of truest artists. The inmates live for the Shakespearean production that they put on every year. It is interesting to see how the prisoners draw upon their emotions for the characters so easily because of their troubled pasts and regrets.
