Sexy Evil Genius (2013)

A dark comedy about an eclectic group of strangers invited to a downtown bar by a mutual ex-lover, Nikki Franklyn, a maddeningly sexy, unpredictable and possibly insane young woman who's recently gotten out of prison for murdering her last ex-boyfriend. The party really gets started when Nikki herself arrives, hauling her latest lover and fiancee, the morally challenged lawyer who'd been handling her case. She's mysterious about her intentions and her current and former lovers soon realize they are all caught in one of her brilliant, mischievous mind-games with possible deadly consequences. By the night's end, revenge will be had, new romance will bloom, and Nikki will have delivered on her reputation as the Sexy Evil Genius.

This was a fantastic movie that I think everyone should see. Great semi-linear storytelling. Great job to the cast and creative teams.

Three ex-lovers, the new boyfriend (who successfully defended her on murder charges) and the sexy evil genius herself who still has them in her thrall are pulled together for a well orchestrated night of recrimination and revenge. A great cast delivers a film that feels constantly in motion with punch, humor and tension - all the more iimpactful considering it takes place almost entirely around a table in a bar. Like watching a human train wreck with a great soundtrack and it has a sort of happy ending.

I loved this movie!!! Very dark, brilliant, and even funny in parts. I would have never guessed the actors in this would have pulled this off

Smart. Clever. Slow yet fast paced (contradictions, I know). A film that makes you feel like your right there in the plot with the characters. A brilliant Indie thriller, certainly worth your full attention.
