The filmmaker's greatest achievement is that he avoids preaching or taking sides and deftly proves that the weightiest issues can still come tinged with humor and irony.

A well paced and interesting movie about an election day on an island. The election agent starts out idealistic and does her best to get fair and free results despite all the various attitudes, superstitions, and problems of the people who live on the island. Very enjoyable.
