Payami is to be applauded for taking biting potshots at such volatile issues as Iran's outmoded electoral process and women's status as second-class citizens.

Film about people who live far from the reaches of civilation and government (and somewhat about Middle Eastern culture). Not ha ha funny, but goes for a comical tone. Moves slowly (though I didn't find it boring) especially at the beginning with the intention of showing the pace of life in this settting. Good foreign film about life very different from the U.S.

Usually I like art films, but this one sort of reminded me of B-grade movies from Burkina Faso...

I thought this movie was prett interesting and very different from standard foreign movies. This is one movie that really means something and is very educational despite the pretty slow pace. The sound on the DVD wasn't there when I watched this, but it was still interesting to watch and I could follow what was going on.

A different but interesting film about the election system in a country like Iran. Beautifully filmed, but a little too slow paced at times.
