Scandal Makers (2008)

Former teen idol Nam Hyeon-soo is now in his thirties and working as a radio DJ. One day a young woman named Jeong-nam shows up and claims to be his own daughter. She also has a son whom she claims to be Hyeon-soo's grandson. Their relation is proven via DNA tests by Hyeon-soo's brother. This leads to Hyeon-soo attempting to avoid a scandal concerning him having children "unknown" to the media.

really funny in parts, but quite an average film overall. The First time director wont get many more opportunities after his performance here. Tae-hyeon Cha does his best to try and make the material work, and im prob overrating it, but ill be generous because a couple of scenes were great.

A nice family comedy. Good film for those who are new to K-movies. Sort of has that My Sassy Girl vibe but in a totally different setting. This is a must watch for Cha Tae-Hyeon fans. Even though he plays a slick character in this film, his inner geekiness still shines through.

Starts out light and funny, and turns more serious as the movie progresses. I really enjoyed the character development and the actors were good!

Korean comedies usually leave me cold, but the three leads are charming enough to make this work - even though the plot is pretty basic.

Funny and adorable! The main character is already a grandpa and he's still in his mid-30s. The sequence of events is believable though and makes you think that having a grandchild in your mid-30s is uber cool!
