Russell Peters: Red, White and Brown (2008)

In this sold-out performance, Canadian comic Russell Peters skewers racial stereotypes as he offers his audacious take on multiculturalism--including his Indian heritage and culture clashes around the world. Recorded live at Madison Square Garden's WAMU theater and broadcast on Showtime, this stand-up concert is not to be missed. Red, White and Brown is the second stand-up comedy album by Canadian comedian Russell Peters, recorded at the WAMU Theatre in Madison Square Garden on February 2, 2008.[3] The CD/DVD was released in Canada on September 30, 2008, and in the U.S. on January 27, 2009, debuting at #3 on the Canadian Albums Chart.[4] The hip hop theme music was produced by Marco Polo, and legendary MC Melle Mel introduced Peters to the stage.

Russell Peters is a Canadian comedian known mainly for his race-based humor. Arabs, Chinese, Indians, white folks, and black folks all are targets for his humor. Red, White and Brown kicks off with DDR and then quickly moves on to the media, the Middle East, body hair, and deaf people. It's one of those comedy specials that you'll laugh at, but probably you'll laugh hardest if you're home alone watching it. VERDICT: "Matinée" - (Mixed reaction). These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says to pay matinée prices to see at a theatre or buy an ex rental or a cheap price the DVD to own.

I enjoyed this comic quite a bit!! granted, it is extremely politically incorrect, and dares to go into places very few do; nonetheless it is hilarious! his ability to imitate accents and personifications from different groups is amazing... I would only constructively say Russell didn't nail the Portuguese one.

Incredibly funny race driven comedy, Russel Peters has great timing, delivery and has really funny observation about the different races and is allowed to make comments about it and not get booed, in fact, he will make fun of your race, and you will laugh about it. He does get a little dirty and used a fair bit of bad language, and that is what makes this only 4 stars.

Wow...I'm the first reviewer!? Well it is 110% epic awesome hilarity. The equal opportunity insulter leaves no ethnicity unscathed, torments audience members, and relays one "horrific" tale about getting to a show on the USS Eisenhower that had Ryan doubled over crying. The bonus features are a must see.
