In his first feature outing, director Soham Mehta overplays the significance of virtually every aspect of Rajiv Shah’s script, no matter how minor, with painfully slow pans and needlessly lingering establishing shots.

This is a good showing for Lautner. In a film that is thoughtful without being groundbreaking, Lautner is suitable without being showy.

I liked the movie. Fun to see Rajiv Shah the screenplay writer in the movie. I liked the "father/son" relationship between Ray and Oliver. Almost too bad that the mother got back into the "family". Sad to see how it ended with Oliver leaving with the mother. Makes you wonder if Ray and his mother will reconcile in the future and Oliver will get the family he wants.

Excellent movie directed by Mehta. Lautner and the entire cast are superb. The material is heavy but the flawless execution from the cast will have you rooting for Oliver and hoping he and his big brother have a chance at life despite a rough upbringing.
