Robo Vampire (1988)

Narcotics agent Tom Wilde is given a second chance at life after being shot and killed. In a futuristic experiment, agent Wilde is returned to life as an Android Robot. He is sent on a very dangerous mission into the depths of the golden Triangle to rescue Sophie, a beautiful undercover agent who has been captured by the evil drug warlord Mr. Young and his inhuman creation the Vampire Beast.

Hopping vampires. Android-like robots made of tin foil. The gorilla-masked vampire beast. Sewing cocaine bags into cows. Dare I go on?

This film is the most ambitious thing I've ever witnessed and I am taken back every time I watch it. It fails on more levels than anything I've ever seen, but at the same time, you have to applaud everything you see. It's a movie that cannot be explained, both in terms of plot and in enjoyment.

This is by far one of the most cohesive and compelling films I have ever seen. Never before has a plot been so concise, so riveting...The costumes and special effects are beyond amazing, and have yet to be matched. The attention to detail in the robot's costume alone inspires awe.

this is literally two different movies that were edited together to become one. it was so confusing at first, and it frankly still is. You'll notice certain characters who will never appear on screen with each other, and that's because they were in an entirely different movie. It's pretty funny, any time the vampires pop up on screen the movie is amazing. It drags a bit in some parts, but definitely worth a watch to just try and figure out who's idea this was.
