A journey of a widower and his son from Moscow to Koktebel, a city in the Crimea peninsula. Dragged at times, but still touching

Very sparse and ambient. A wonderful account of a father and sons journey to Koktebel form Moscow. They have no means of transport

A study in living a drab existence (not difficult in rural Ukraine, apparently), trying to find meaning in it, and growing up. Recommended.

Great job at showing the caring nature of Russians (who are there to help those in need). Movie lacked real Character development. Father son don't share a great friendship and is strained when he spends too much time with the female "host". The two are able to reconsile at the end. Not much dialogue either in the movie.
