Return of the Fly (1959)

Fifteen years after his father's experiments with matter transmission fail, Philippe Delambre and his uncle François attempt to create a matter transmission device on their own. However, their experiments have disastrous results, turning Philippe into a horrible half-man, half-fly creature.

Interesting that this sequel was made in black and white when the original was in colour. Anyway another one down in the fly collection marathon that I'm having today! You got to love the fight scenes in these old movies.

A sequel that delivers! Shame it was shot in black and white when the first was in colour! I liked the fact the creature was infected with giantism and I liked the whole Cold War espionage of the villian. I thought the hamster scene was a bit risky, when the villian presses his foot on it to be rid of it. Otherwise a very good sequel to the original.

It has lots of great dramatic scenes. A great sci-fi horror film and a wonderful follow-up to the original.

It's great in it's own way, but not as good as The Fly. It follows up many unused concepts from the first film, while having some great performances and monster action. This one is more campy though, and the Fly mask is a bit on the goofy side.
