A must see for anyone interested in conspiracy theories or real life mysteries. Up and down the east coast and even in South America there are tiles being embedded into the ground that read the same message: TOYNBEE IDEA IN MOVIE '2001' RESURRECT DEAD ON PLANET JUPITER This has been a mystery that people have attempted to solve for decades. Who put these down? Why? How does he place them in places like the middle of the highway or the entrance to the Holland tunnel? This documentary follows three people who try to find out. They start by following three leads, one which actually gives them an address. Whether correct or not, they do indeed come to a conclusion that is more than a fascinating. Although there are not even many flaws from a film making standpoint, if there were it could be overlooked thanks to the interesting subject matter and the films ability to keep you intrigued as you solve the mystery with Justin Duerr, Steve Weinik, and Colin Smith.

Another great and obscure doc. The creators of this interesting piece regarding mysterious, probable mad man (mad men?) posted tiles which foretell of a possible future all throughout eastern America and South America know how to string along an audience until the very last minute. Now I want to find a tile.

Like Giftshop & other street art films, Resurrect Dead brings the city to life - in a new way. I realize that I've seen a few of the modified tiles around the city of Toronto. If it were a fiction, I'd commend the writers for having created some awesome & hilarious characters. This is one of my faves :)

Like a real life version of the show Ghostwriter. I adored this movie. So much fun watching them trying to figure out the mystery.

If you didn't come of age and weren't part of, on the immediate periphery during some part of, or never heard of, the era of zines, pirate radio, audio and visual collage, cut & paste flyers, "The Cassette Mythos", "The Anarchists Cookbook", The Church of the SubGenius, ReSEARCH, and everything else that encompassed the early low-tech, pre-digital, DIY movement then it will be difficult to fully appreciate the cast of characters in this wonderful documentary that is way more than the sum of it's parts. For some it will be evident, regardless. For others, well, they didn't get it then and they certainly won't get it now.
