except for the locations in the movie,there was nothing else in the movie which was interesting,it was senseless,.in a theater you might like it,but if u watch it in a cd ul defy wont stand more than 10 min.

As Rajneeti was modern mahabharatha, this movie was obvsly based on Ramayana...except that the so called Ram of the movie has shades of Ravan's character (n i think thats y it flopped) !!!! 3 songs are good ..beera, ranjha n behne de... Abhi was at his worst ...lol Aish n Vikram were okay..Govinda as hanumanji :P wasnt funny at alll... But I liked the ending...it was just awesome ..made this movie a worth watch for me (atleast its a one time c...loll) would recommend to watch atleast the last half n hr of this movie !!! Excited to watch the tamil version as hv heard the story is diff den the bolly one !!! would rate this movie as 2 stars onli for the the witty end !!!

Like trying to understand Shakespeare's poetic language, you need to really think hard in order to follow this movie. Don't expect to sit back, relax and be fed more of the usual stuff that you get to see in other movies. In some places the relevance of a scene will strike you only a few minutes after it's flashed by. You will struggle to draw parallels with movies you have seen in the past - hoping to find something familiar that puts you in the comfort zone of watching a normal Bollywood movie. But you won't find any of that here. Mani Ratnam's Ramayana inspired movie is out of the ordinary, filled with awesome cinematography by Santosh Sivan and A R Rahman's superb background score.

Another classic master piece by Mani ratnam he used his technicians to d core ...lusty locations and some mind blowing cinematography has given a visual treat to the audience vikram and ash has lived upto the hype ...Rahman's background music is pure class...a must watch for all

i don't think this movie is excellent or outstanding but it was quite average. superb disappointment, waited too long for it but it disappointed me. Mnai ratnam's worst movie. its dull, loose and empty at places but somehow An exhilarating and thrilling adventure brimming with lush, breathtaking visuals, lively musical numbers and a captivating love triangle. Very satisfying entertainment for the eyes, ears and heart - mythic romance and action adventure to a throbbing beat. a dark sychologically trenchant modern retelling of the ancient epic The Ramayana. could have been far more better.
