This is a nice short independent film at only 84 minutes long. The main story revolves around two characters. Jamie who has come to see a friend who isnâ??t there and Charlie, they guy she meets at the subway. The story follows them over the next few days and these two strangers share time with each other. Another film from what America has named the "mumble core" movement, due to the actors mumbling allot. If you want to see a film purely based on dialogue and a true to live view of how normal 20 somethingâ??s act and try to figure out life, go see this film.

Rather determinedly "little" movie, but charming nevertheless, and of the so-called "mumblecore" generation, Aaron Katz seems to be someone with a strong sense of pace and structure, as well as a visual sensibility. There are times when there's one too many cuts to the cityscape shown at twilight, with the glinting shifts of light. It's awfully pretty but it gets too postcard-ish. But this is a lovely film from a promising young filmmaker.

I don't think this was a bad movie at all. It was simple and innocent and very genuine. A real feeling to the movie and great actors for getting nothing in return. I have heard it was made on a 2000 dollar budget. And for that and the simple little intimacy it had to it i applaud. Definatly rent first, but if your in a simple casual mood and want to look at the smaller details of a simple connection you should look this up.

The third "mumblecore" movie I saw was by far the weakest. The dialogue seemed truly trite rather than hyperbolically mundane like in "Funny Ha Ha;" the cinematography and editing, with the exception of some sunset footage, was distracting and sloppy as opposed to the deceptively graceful faux-carelessness of "Mutual Appreciation." Boo Aaron Katz. Yay Andrew Bujalski! I still wanna see Aaron Katz last film, "Dance Party USA" cause, come on, what a title!

Engaging and quirky indie film about 24 hours in the life of a young lady looking for the friend she's supposed to be staying with and the stranger she asks directions from who ends up becoming her guide to the big city. Shot for just $2000, and using mostly non-actors, this movie surprised the hell out of me. Similar to Once in many ways, it's not going to be for everyone, but I think more people than not will quickly fall in love with this quirky film...
