A powerful and affecting film that documents two college friends-- one an athiest and one a Christian-- sharing four frank conversations about faith, love and God in post-post-modern America. Whether you plan to vote for Obama or for Palin in 2012, you should watch this film.

If you watched religulous, this will give a more balanced view, but still unresolved. My guess is many of us lie in between the two here, if not very very close to one or the other.

I most appreciate that this feels like a real, engaged conversation. It isn't a conversation where every point made is extremely well-crafted, logically airtight, or rhetorically appropriate. Instead, we have two men with a lengthy history discussing issues significant to them. In addition, I find the ending of the film to be extremely appropriate, both in the way it drives to the heart of Marks' objections to God, and to the possibilities that come in light of miraculous moments.
