I love this story, althou it is slow paced but one night can happened many things in TST...and the relationship between polices

Hmm, you'd think they might have just looked a bit harder. A moody cops and triads film built around a slightly farcical premise. But somehow it works. It takes place over a single night, and has police incompetence, police brutailty, an impressive restaurant stabbing, games arcades, yellow paint, banana peels, and a showdown on Canton Road. Captures the mood of late-night Tsim Sha Tsui amazingly well.

Style doesn't trump substance in Johnny To's quickie circus act PTU because the style is the substance.

A feverish dream and nightmare of a movie. It reminds me of when you have a dream, it's full of people and story, but you can't really remember how it went. It's almost like a stream on consciousness. Don't even try to figure out what any of the movie is about. Just let it take you on it's mind trip. Crazy stuff.
