I can get all male romeo and juliet.. but there are some things that just didn't work about this. The acting was wonderful, and over all I enjoyed it.. but there were things that just took me out of it.. like the web cam songs and the end song... I don't know.. could have been better, but it wasn't wasted time.

Private Romeo often makes it difficult to follow with its usage of Shakepearean dialogue, but at least the actors are all hot.

Artistically, it was really well done! Even the acting was good considering it's a gay film. I didn't mind the changes to the story either except the end.....it's a tragedy, leave it that way. Entertaining overall!

Sufrible, aunque lleguÃ (C) a pensar que de verdad me iba a impactar con una propuesta distinta en la que la historia iba a ser cambiada y adaptada para encajar con la situaciÃ³n y al final lo Ãºnico que me pareciÃ³ fue que la historia la estaban interpretando y ya. Es decir, Julieta era Juliera leÃda por un hombre y no que en vez de eso fueran Romeo y Julio. Eso habrÃa sido mÃ¡s interesante. El lenguaje hubiera ayudado tambiÃ (C)n. El texto (recortado) era literal. En fin.

Better than many "modern" Shakespeare adaptations; some notable flaws trumped by very fine acting, camera work, editing, direction. Some quick speeches garbled, but this minor complaint won't keep me from taking a third and fourth look. If in 1966 the nuns had had this to show us in lit class, the world would be a smarter place by now.
