Schizophrenic doomed romance of sorts, both austere and berserk. Meanders, too many threads wither, but impressively audacious.

POLA X is haunting, beautiful, and alive. One of the most interesting films of the past decade.

A very odd and experimental adaptation of a short story by Melville into a very long and almost epic film. Certainly not intended for the mainstream, there is a great deal to be found in this seemly lost film from Leos Carax. Criterion? Where are you?
